Perpetual Drive for pierrot ensemble
I. Caprice: "Let's Have No Regard!"
II. Lament: "Do We Know How To Feel?"
III. Dance: "Let's Get Together"
IV. Romance: "Distractions"
V. Rhapsody: "Jump Toward"
Each movement is intended as a representation of a human character and expression. While thinking of titles for the movements, I found inspiration from form or character types in the western musical tradition, which are timeless and just as relevant for use today - perpetually driven and existing. Perpetual Drive was written from 2013-2014 for the Lost Dog New Music Ensemble. - Gilbert Galindo
