The premiere of “Pulse Rising” for electric guitar and live electronics - a work combining esoteric lyricism and tribal house rhythms - was premiered at The Stonewall Inn as part of Composers Concordance Generations XV concert.

On March 21st at 6:30pm at the historic Stonewall Inn, Composers Concordance presents Generations XV, the 15th-annual concert featuring the winners of the Generations Composition Competition, with categories for composers 25 or younger, as well as composers 65 or older. This year's winners are Asher Lurie (Category A) for his composition 'Voltage Rip,' and Maurizio Najt (Category B) for their composition 'Coffee Rush Dance'.
The winning works, scored for solo instruments with electronics, will be featured on a wide-ranging program including electronic music by Lynn Bechtold, Dan Cooper, Gilbert Galindo, Howie Kenty, Joseph Pehrson, Gene Pritsker, Will Rowe, Dave Soldier, and Maria Tegzes, to be performed by Michiyo Suzuki - clarinet, Gene Pritsker - guitar, Franz Hackl - trumpet, Maria Tegzes - soprano, and Will Rowe - cello.
