QNMF Opening Concert: RAM Sings - Premiere of "Braided Soul"

The premiere of a new work, “Braided Soul” for soprano, flute, bass clarinet, violin and piano will be had on the opening concert of the 2026 Queens New Music Festival at Culture Lab LIC at 7:30PM. The work sets a poem to music of the same name by David Bowles, expressing the idea of the soul from native Mexican beliefs to the Catholic belief and finally to a Mestizo realization of the soul. Musicians Risa Harman, soprano; Adelina DeBella, flute; Thomas Piercy, bass clarinet; Laurel Gagnon, violin; and Corey Chang, piano perform.
